#announcements @vcfyouth1 Free movie, Union Station Trail ride (sign up by Friday), Hallelujah Party and Unite!

1. Saturday, August 22nd at 10am, ShineFM will be showing a free movie at the Cinema 8 here in town called I’m Not Ashamed.  By the same film company that brought you God’s Not Dead and Woodlawn, I’m Not Ashamed shares the inspiring story of Rachel Joy Scott, who was killed for her faith at Columbine High School in Colorado. Admission is free for students 18 and under, 5$ for adults, and children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Reserve your tickets at shinefmohio.com.
2. The last Wednesday will be our annual Hallelujah Party.  A freindly alternative to trick-or-treat, bring your younger siblings and family out to a night of food, games, and candy! Happening October 26th from 6 until 8:30pm, it includes dinner.  As students, you all will be responsible for serving with a smile by running a game, handing out candy, cleaning up after the meal, and in general, any way necessary.  Come prepared to be a good influence in these children’s life.
3. Does your school use Union Station’s gym for games? (cough, cough, calvary).  Have you ever taken a class there? Why not support them in their mission.  You can sign up and raise money for Union Station and enjoy a trail ride at Marmon Valley to raise funds for Union Station’s heating system.  Details are at unionstationoflogancounty.org.  You must sign up by Friday.
4. The next official gathering of Unite will be November 2nd from 7-8:30pm at Calvary Christian church.  Nationally recognized speaker Rick Garland will be sharing with us about the realities of depression and suicide, a truth you see in your schools almost daily.  Don’t miss out on another amazing gathering of students from all over Logan county, brought to you by Unite.
5. The weather is getting cooler, fall is in the air, leaves have brilliant colors, and just like the changing seasons, VCF Student ministry online is a breath of fresh air!  Garrett is constantly posting info online to encourage, share announcements, and more.  Check it out on our facebook, Instagram, twitter, and blogspot.  Post to, like, comment, selfie, thumbs up, do what you kids do!
