June 2018

Hello all, I pray your day is going well! We wanted to give you a quick update as to what we are doing this month with Vineyard Youth.

Same place, different time! Throughout the summer we will continue to meet at VCF but will be meeting at 6:30 instead of 7! We will see you then!

Last Wednesday (6/6) we started a new series titled, Super Serve Summer. We discussed how God calls us all to be servants in 1 Peter 4:10. We then tackled the passage in Mark 10:42-44 Where Jesus declares "whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all." Jesus came and served others, those he served saw the love of God by the way Jesus served them. We asked ourselves, are others seeing the love of God in us by the way we serve others?

This Wednesday (6/13) we will start the second half of Super Serve Summer Series. Since we have discussed that it is important to serve, Jesus himself came to serve and declares that we too must serve, how do we do so? What are some certain ways we can serve one another? We will give some Biblical examples as to how we can serve and love one another!

The Bible declares that we are to not only be a hearer, but a doer. (James 1:22) SO, next Wednesday  (6/20) we will be taking what we learned and springing into action. We are going to meet per usual at VCF but instead of sitting in on a message, we are going to go out and serve the city of Bellefontaine. We will have street clean up teams, prayer teams, blessing teams and witnessing teams. We will leave the church at 6:30 and will be back by 7:30. We will recap until 8:00 and dismiss for the night. It is time to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

Wednesday June 27th Vineyard Youth will be having their hangout Wednesday here at VCF. We will have a Slip-N-Slide going followed by mud-volleyball. Students are going to get MESSY. We advise in bringing a towel and a change of clothes. There will be a short devotion prior during dinner (Pizza). Dinner starts at 6, Slip-N-Slide from 6:30-7:15, Mud-Volleyball from 7:15-8. Bring your friends, this is going to be AWESOME!

Lastly, Wednesday July 4th we will not be having youth group. Enjoy the night celebrating your independence with your fellow patriots!
